8. Jumping Frogs

Easy Medium Hard Extreme


Each matchstick represents a jumping frog. Place the 6 frogs as in "A". Between the 2 sets of frogs is a gap exactly the the length of 1 matchstick. Note the matchstick heads pointing in opposite directions.

The challenge is to make the 2 sets of frogs change places to end as in "B". The following rules apply:

1. Frogs can only move or jump or move in the direction the matchstick head is pointing.
2. A frog may move into an empty space or jump over ONE other frog to land in an empty space.
3. Frogs cannot move backwards.
