302. The swimming pool and the trees

The figure above shows a swimming pool and 4 trees. The size of the pool is 4 square units and 8 matchsticks were used to achieve this.

The challenge is to ADD 4 matchsticks and rearrange them to form a new swimming pool more then double the size of the original. The new pool must fit in between the trees and you may not touch or move any tree.
