There are 3 sticks in the horizontal line and 4 sticks (3 vertical and 1 horizontal) in the vertical line of the cross. By moving only 1 stick, there must be 4 sticks in both the vertical and horizontal lines of the cross. All sticks don't have to be flat on the surface.
